Anna Morris is an award winning comedian, writer and actress. Her one-woman character comedy shows have received critical acclaim and had sell-out runs in the UK and Australia.

They are ‘Dolly Mixture’, ‘Would Like to Thank’,  ‘It’s Got to be Perfect‘ – (featuring her most popular character Georgina Octavia Francis – Britain’s Biggest Bridezilla) and ‘Bitchelors’.

‘It’s Got To Be Perfect’
sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015/2016 and was featured in huge publications such as The Telegraph, The British Comedy Guide and Marie Claire. It was also crowned ‘Best Show 2016’ at the Funny Women Awards. Then, it toured at the Melbourne and Adelaide Festivals.

Anna’s YouTube channel currently has over 140,000 hits for her series ‘Georgina’s Wedding Blogs’. The Bridezilla offers up ridiculous tips for upcoming nuptials, make up and fashion advice and ‘rules’ for guests.

In 2017, Anna went back to the Fringe with a revised version of a show, now called ‘BITCHELORS’. The show is a fictitious ‘Woman of the Year Awards’, and Anna plays 5 different characters, including Georgina. Others are a ‘Mumtrepeneur’, a glamourous foreign correspondent, a baker with a dark secret and an anti-marriage activist.

Bitchelors was so successful in Edinburgh that Anna was featured on the BBC’s coverage of the festival, ran for 2 weeks at the Perth Fringe Festival and saw Anna make her debut at London’s Soho Theatre.

This year at the Edinburgh Fringe, she is debuting a mash up show of her favourite characters in a show called Bombastic‘.

Anna’s writing credits include The Paul O’Grady Show, Man Stroke Woman, PYPO and NewsRevue. In the TV world she’s starred in BBCs Outnumbered and Count Arthur Strong. She also took the lead in two episodes of ITV’s comedy entertainment show Bad Bridesmaid as a writer and performer. She is currently featured on Channel 4 as a main character in their hit new sitcom ‘Lee & Dean’.

“Anna Morris performed at our annual event in August, which is a corporate event attended by principally accountants and solicitors. She was absolutely fantastic, her range of characters were brilliant and so funny, the set was a perfect balance of comedy and music. I think we all know a Georgina Francis or a Nina Gordon! Anna gauged her audience perfectly and involved some of them in parts of her show with hilarious consequences. The feedback for Anna following the event was terrific and many delegates have asked if we can have her back next year. We could easily have been entertained by Anna all evening. We look forward to working with Anna again in the future!”
Judith Howson, R3 Scottish Women In Insolvency Group (R3 SWG)

“Georgina the Bride was the perfect host for the Bridal Buyer Awards – never before have we heard the whole audience laugh as loudly at a presenter during their set, and had so many positive comments in the days after the awards.  Aside from the hilarious set, Anna Morris as Georgina was fantastic at hosting our awards ceremony, providing the perfect balance of moving a long awards programme along quickly, without making the evening feel rushed or impersonal.  We hope we can work together again the future!”
Georgia Pick, Event Manager for the Bridal Buyer Awards
