‘Bitchelors’ by Anna Morris at Edinburgh Fringe
1st September 2017
It was a triumphant return for Anna Morris‘s creation Georgina Francis (star of Comic Relief’s Bride Aid and Georgina’s Wedding Blogs‘) when she hosted the ‘Woman of the Year Awards’ this year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
With 4 contestants all vying for the prize, audiences chose a winner, resulting in one of 4 different endings.
Anna performed ‘Bitchelors’ every day at the prestigious Voodoo Rooms to sell out crowds, wonderful audience feedback and professional reviews. See below for their thoughts!
The show was highly recommended by the British Comedy Guide, was seen by over 2,000 people and Georgina even made an appearance on the BBC!
“A finely crafted hour of entertainment from a master of character comedy. Morris’s performance – taking in 5 separate creations – is a delight”

Honestly Bitchelors was the best show I saw this year. So funny and obvious that a huge amount of thought and effort went into the show’s creation.
I laughed from start to finish and enjoyed it so much I went to see the show a second time.
I already can’t wait to see Anna next year!
Best show at Fringe I’ve seen this year. And I’ve seen quite a few! Brilliantly written and well executed. To be applauded for attention to detail and planning. Sooo funny. Awesome. Just go! Good luck in future Anna
Best show yet. I want to marry Jane.
Easily the best show we’ve been to in the last two years at the Fringe. Funny, very slick, clever, an absolute joy! You MUST see this show!
Highly recommended! This is such a well crafted show and you simply have to see it while you can. Superb characters, and a show that really pulls you in. Looking forward to seeing how the alternate endings work out.
A brilliant must see show! 5 stars! The show was sold out, packed full, and the entire crowd was laughing. The characters Anna has created are wildly fun & clever. I haven’t laughed this hard in ages. Get yourself there!
Very funny show. Brilliant character acting and would recommend
It was a very good show. The characters were totally different with so much detail in it. Anna kept me laughing throughout the show. The engagement with audiences was very good as well and the brownies were delicious!!! LONG LIVE THE BITCHELOR!!
Best Fringe show! Anna is incredible and really funny!! A must see!
We missed Anna Morris last year (on our last day, as she was so popular) and were determined to catch her show this year. We were so glad we did. It was a great show from a very talented lady. Funny, well written, well performed, and well improvised (mic problems). Audience involved in a very positive manner. I strongly recommend you make the time to see this. She can sing too! Thank you Anna.
Have just returned home after a week at the best Fringe that our family has attended.
My wife and I found this fantastic show by chance as the venue/time fitted our timetable. What a great find it was!
The show has been thoughtfully created, with fantastic characters skilfully executed by Anna.
I enjoyed it so much that I recommended it to my daughter, who attended the following day and agreed on how enjoyable it was.
Although the show is free, it would be a travesty to walk out without paying. You would be hard pressed to find a show of this quality for less than £10 at any paid venue.
Congratulations Anna and thank you for entertaining my family.
If you enjoyed Georgina the Bride’s wedding rehearsal…
She is back! Presenting Woman Of The Year.
Brilliant character comedy by Anna Morris, effortlessly switching between five different personas.
Laugh, I even put money in the bucket.
Seriously I have seen ticketed shows that don’t come close to this.
Not to be missed. #VoteNina
Having found clips of Georgina The Bride on YouTube highly amusing, Anna Morris became a must see at the fringe this year. The character (amongst others) did not disappoint (nor did Anna). Though the show is free, it’s important to support the people putting on the shows so do come prepared to pay – it’s worth every penny. The special brownies alone get you value for money. Thanks for a great show.
As with all character based comedy it’s about the details and Anna Morris creates characters with nuance and individual personality. Her stage craft allows her to improvise in character and her audience interactions are witty and engaging. It’s hard to find Free shows of this quality and I would highly recommend a trip to the Voodoo Rooms to see Anna Morris’s latest. Oh and I voted for Jane Dough!
Outrageously hilarious. The best free show we’ve seen this year.
